Changing in app OTP from sms to email

Thank you for reaching out.

 

You can now change the OTP from SMS to email thanks to new functionality.

 

"Manage OTP preference" is a profile setting available on both the mobile app and Internet banking.

 

To utilise this feature, please make sure that you are logging in with your QR code.

 

Here are the steps to using Internet banking to access it:

  • On your landing page
  • Click on your user ID or preferred name.
  • select profile and settings
  • select manage otp preference

Please perform the following steps on your mobile app:

  • On your mobile app landing page
  • click more
  • Click on your user ID, email, or preferred name.
  • Click on personal details.
  • Click OTP preference.

I no longer have cell phone reception where I am so have changed my OTP preference to email.  However, I have tried to make an online purchase and the only option that came up was to send to OTP to my cell phone.  Why are OTPs still not coming to my email and what can i do?  Desperate, please!

There is a new feature that allows you to switch your OTP from SMS to email.

 

It requires you to be DigiMe'd to be able to switch it.

 

Under settings on Internet banking, there's an option "Manage OTP preference".

 

It allows you to toggle between SMS, and email.

 

Should the email not be on any of your banking profiles, our team will not be able to assist.

 

Please send us the below documents to enable us to assist you further.

 

- Front and back of your card.

-3 specimen signatures

-Copy of ID and Passport.

-Letter confirming the email address you need to change the OTP's to and card number you use on internet banking.

 

Upon receipt of all correspondence, our team will assist you effectively.

 

Forward them to [email protected] for immediate assistance.

Good morning

Thank you so much for your response, but there is no way on the app to change the OTP to email from sms. And in order to log into my internet banking on a computer, I need a OTP.

I think the thing that annoys me the most is that I went into a branch to ask what I need to do. I did what they told me and it still isn't working.

Good day
I am currently in England for 6 months. I went to the Constantia branch and asked what I need to do to use my app overseas. I was told to change my OTP to email instead of sms. I tried to do that, but something isn't working as I can't do any transactions on my app because of the OTP being an sms. I need to change it to an email. Help please
