Hello @MNls.

Thank you for reaching out.

Honouring fee is a fee charged for using your card while you do not have enough available funds for the transaction.

Honouring fee is charged when you are swiping your card and when the merchant is debiting your account for a transaction process days, weeks or months before.

Under narrative (description of transactions) for a delayed transaction, it’ll tell you the exact date of the transaction.

Should you suspect it as fraud. You’re welcome to get in touch with our fraud team on 0800 222 050.

If you want to dispute the transaction, kindly share your email address and we will share the form with you.

To avoid being charged honouring fee, please download our banking app or cellphone banking and always check your account balance.

Mainly focus on available balance as it is a direct reflection of what is available for you to use.

This way it’ll make things a little bit easier to keep track of all your transactions.

Please let me know if this answers your question.

Kind regards,

Fana.

I'm charged honouring fee every month even though I am not able to purchase or use the account when I have less money in my account than the purchase price by cents.

I have been charged honouring fee when I swipe my card on tollgate example if I swipe for R75 in tollgate the bank will charge honouring fee for the same amount so it will be R150 per one transaction times 4 so it's R300 for tollgate and R300 for honouring fee charged by the bank and ncr said its against the law so guys call ncr not ombudsman let you be referred to ombudsman by ncr
