There is a new feature that allows you to switch your OTP from SMS to email.
It requires you to be DigiMe'd to be able to switch it.
Under settings on Internet banking, there's an option called "Manage OTP preference".
It allows you to toggle between SMS and email.
The steps are provided under tagged messages.
Should the email not be on any of your banking profiles, our team will not be able to assist.
Please send us the below documents to enable us to assist you further:
front and back of your card.
3 specimen signatures
Copy of ID and passport
-A letter confirming the email address you need to change the OTPs to and the card number you use for internet banking.
Upon receipt of all correspondence, our team will assist you effectively.

This is not true. It tells you that you have to physically go into a branch to do this.
You can VIEW what your current settings are, but you cannot update it yourself.

You can now change the OTP from SMS to email thanks to a new functionality.
"Manage OTP preference" is a profile setting available on both the mobile app and Internet banking.
To utilize this feature, please make sure that you are logging in with your QR code.
Here are the steps to use Internet banking to access it:

Yes I am DigiMe'd, and currently not able to receive SMS' while abroad, and definitely cannot walk into a branch, so no way to get into Internet banking specifically or transact.
Doesn't make sense having an app on the very phone you want me to receive an SMS on, and it can't approve anything or get a push notification.

This is to ensure that the payment is processed by the account owner.
The app does allow you to process payments without having to enter OTP.
You need to be DigiMe'd. Are you DigiMe'd?

Why the hell can the approvals not just come via the APP? why Email or SMS? Both end up timing out all the time and you have to resend.
Maybe have a talk with your IT folks
